We’ve spent decades immersed in the windswept terroir of Monterey County’s Santa Lucia Highlands. Born of our history and fanatical attention to detail in the vineyards, our portfolio offers four distinct collections defined by geography, terroir and wine style.

Hahn Founder's Chardonnay V22 750ML
Generous aromas of citrus and tropical fruit are accompanied by hints of vanilla and honey. Bright acidity welcomes the palate, leading to a perfect balance of pineapple and lemongrass with hints of butter and toast, culminating in a lingering, clean finish.

Chardonnay grapes were grown in outstanding vineyards throughout California, primarily in Monterey County appellation where cool breezes from the Pacific Ocean slow down ripening and extend hang times. These unique conditions ripen the grapes perfectly, creating well-balanced, flavorful wines.

Vibrant aromas of red and dark cherry, raspberry and plum with subtle touches of vanilla and toasted oak. On the palate, silky tannins and excellent acid balance are joined by delicate flavors of red cherry and
raspberry, culminating with notes of earthiness on a long and lingering finish. <br><br> Our Pinot Noir grapes were primarily grown in the Arroyo Seco appellation of Monterey County, which sits on a gravelly alluvial plain beneath the Santa Lucia Mountains. Cool winds from Monterey Bay ensure gradual ripening and development of vibrant flavors. The rocky soils allow excellent drainage, enhancing intensity and promoting balanced ripeness and acidity
Hahn Founder's Cabernet Sauvignon V22 750ML
Inviting aromas of dark cherry and blackberry are complemented by hints of vanilla, leather and toasted oak. Rich and robust tannins frame flavors of blackberry, blueberry and ripe red fruit with a touch of vanilla and spice, culminating with a smooth and opulent finish.

Our Cabernet Sauvignon is grown in outstanding vineyards throughout California, primarily the warmer climate of Lodi. Here grapes ripen fully and develop ample cherry and black currant flavors on the vine. Once harvested we ferment our grapes in French oak, enhancing the wine’s mouthfeel and contributing a subtle spicy aroma.
Hahn Founder's Merlot V21 750ML
Our 2021 Hahn Founder's Merlot expresses aromas of black cherry, red ripe plum, with hints of vanilla and spice. The palate mimics those fruits with a touch of blackberry, mocha and velvety tannins, while a rich and luscious mouthfeel tie the whole package together.
Hahn Founder's Pinot Gris V22 750ML
Generous aromas of pear and green apple are accompanied by hints of lemon blossom. The refreshingly juicy palate bursts with flavors of luscious tropical fruit, pear and citrus, finishing with lively acidity.<br><br>
This Pinot Gris hails from vineyards in Monterey County, where cool breezes from the Pacific Ocean slow down ripening and extend hang times. These conditions produce vibrant flavor and highlight the varietal’s brisk
acidity. Once harvested, the grapes for this wine were fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks. The cool fermentation preserved the variety’s delicate floral and stone fruit aromas, resulting in a bright, refreshing finish.
Hahn Founder's GSM Red Blend V22 750ML
Our 2022 GSM is a medium-bodied blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre. Aromas of violet, blueberry and a tap of white pepper rise from the glass. The mouthfeel is soft with layers of ripe raspberry and strawberry. Subtle hints of toasted oak and mocha pull through the finish.

Vivid red ruby in the glass, this wine opens with aromas of red fruit, cherry, blackberry and hints of earthiness, delicate toast and vanilla spice. The palate is rich, with refined silky tannins, medium acidity and flavors of cherry, red plums, raspberry and subtle notes of allspice on a long elegant finish.

The winter rainfall was slightly below average, but we were able to compensate with early spring irrigation to fill soil profiles before budbreak. Warm spring temperatures aided vine growth and they were able to reach max canopy height. Summer temperatures heated up and slowed down vine growth as vines transitioned into fruit development. Weather leading into harvest was relatively cool and uneventful, which allowed for gradual ripening of the fruit. It was another remarkable growing season in the Santa Lucia Highlands, resulting in wines with beautiful color, concentrated flavors, great structure and naturally balanced acidity.

The 2021 vintage was crafted using small-lot winemaking techniques to capture a true expression of each vineyard block. Only estate vineyard lots with consistent superior characteristics were selected to ensure exceptional quality of this blend. The grapes were harvested during cool mornings, brought to the winery, destemmed into open-top stainless-steel tanks, cold-soaked and fermented on the skins for 10 days. The wine was then pressed off, settled and racked into a selection of small 60-gallon French oak barrels where it was aged for 14 months. When the wine was ready to be blended, our winemaker selected only the finest barrels that exemplify the aromas and flavors of the Santa Lucia Highlands.
Hahn SLH Reserve Pinot Noir V19 750ML
Subtle hints of sage, clove and vanilla add further complexity to the nose of bright cherry and pomegranate. On the palate, layers of fruit continue to evolve with notes of crushed red cherry and bramble berries. Structured palate provides a round and soft mouthfeel with bright acidity, silky tannins and a touch of earthy spice on a long gentle finish.

About average winter rainfall provided good soil moisture profile for the start of the growing season. Budbreak started the last week of February, mostly in younger blocks, with the rest popping out mid-March. Canopies were at arm’s length by the end of April with no signs of cap fall until the middle of May. Veraison started slightly later than normally, towards the end of July, which led to a later start of harvest. The weekend of 9/14, we had a heat spike, but after three days the weather returned to normal. The harvest started fast, but overall had a beautiful even pace with cool nights and moderate daytime temperatures throughout the end of season.
The quality of the fruit was outstanding, resulting in wine with beautiful color, concentrated flavors, balanced tannins, round mouthfeel and soft acidity.

Our 2019 Reserve Pinot Noir reflects the cool climate and well-drained soils of our estate vineyards as well as the unique complexity brought on by multiple clones. Pommard clone from Doctor’s vineyard makes up half of this blend and is one of our favorite clones in the SLH. Smith Vineyard is planted to Calera clone, which is known for its tight small clusters and gives depth to the blend. Finally, fruit from Lone Oak vineyard, coming from our famed Orchestal block planted in 2013, duplicating mass variation of many burgundy vineyards with a multitude of clones, increases the complexity of the blend.
Lively aromas of lemon citrus, pineapple and orange blossom with hints of tropical fruit, caramelized honey and toasty vanilla. On the palate, this wine has an refined texture with a silky, smooth mouthfeel and medium acidity. Notes of Meyer lemon, golden apple and fresh cut pear, combined with delicate notes of toasty oak and creamy minerality, lead to an elegant long finish.

After being carefully picked and precisely sorted for quality, the fruit was destemmed, sent direct to press and fermented entirely in small French oak barrels. The wine was hand-stirred on its lees every three weeks for the 10 months it aged in barrel. When the wine was ready to be blended, our winemaker selected only the finest barrels that best express the aromas and flavors of the Santa Lucia Highlands

Hahn Arroyo Seco Chardonnay V21 750ML
Our 2021 Hahn Appellation Series Arroyo Seco Chardonnay is light gold in appearance with aromas of tropical fruit, citrus peel and vanilla. On the palate, vibrant flavors of pineapple, stone fruit, citrus and notes of honeysuckle and butter, followed by a nuanced toasty spice on the finish.

<b>VINEYARDS</b><br>
Grapes for this wine are sourced from Ste. Nicolaus Vineyard & Mission Ranch– certified sustainable vineyards in the Arroyo Seco appellation of Monterey County. Located south of the Santa Lucia Highlands, both vineyards enjoy generous morning sun, with soils that are rocky and well-drained. These soils challenge the vines to yield grapes of depth, character and intensity. The AVA’s extended growing season allows fruit to ripen slowly and leads to well-balanced, flavorful wines.

<b>WINEMAKING</b><br>
Picked at the peak of ripeness and flavor, the Chardonnay grapes were destemmed and sent to small French oak barrels for fermentation, of which, 100% underwent a secondary malolactic fermentation to give the wine a soft and creamy texture. The wine aged on the lees in French oak barrels for 11 months.
Hahn Arroyo Seco GSM V21 750ML
Our 2021 Hahn Appellation Series Arroyo Seco GSM is ruby red in color, this wine bursts with aromas of strawberry and blueberry with a touch of lavender and white pepper. On the palate, layers of cherry, blueberry, blackberry and warm spice are complemented by a round mouthfeel and velvety tannins.

<b>VINEYARDS</b><br>
Grapes for this wine are sourced from vineyards in the Arroyo Seco appellation of Monterey County. Located south of the Santa Lucia Highlands, these vineyards sit on a gravelly alluvial plain with rocky soils that foster excellent drainage. Arroyo Seco, one of the smallest AVAs in California, is a hidden gem, boasting one of the longest growing seasons in the state. Cool winds channeling South from Monterey Bay through the Salinas Valley ensure gradual ripening, full development of vibrant fruit flavors and bright acidity.

<b>WINEMAKING</b><br>
Picked late in the evening, the grapes were destemmed into stainless steel tanks for fermentation. The wine was pumped over several times a day for maximum color, aromatics and flavor extraction. After about two weeks the wine was pressed off the skins, settled and racked into French oak barrels to age for 11 months.
Hahn Arroyo Seco Pinot Noir V21 750ML
Our 2021 Hahn Appellation Series Arroyo Seco Pinot Noir is ruby red in color, with aromas of black cherry, ripe red berry and subtle hints of vanilla and warm spice. On the palate, soft and delicate flavors of cherry and raspberry are followed by creamy nuances and spicy minerality, culminating in a pleasantly long finish.

<b>VINEYARDS</b><br>
Grapes for this wine are sourced from Ste. Philippe Vineyard – our certified sustainable estate vineyard in the Arroyo Seco appellation of Monterey County. Located south of the Santa Lucia Highlands, Ste. Philippe sits in an ancient, dry riverbed with well-drained, sandy loam soils. Coastal influence and cool winds from Monterey Bay contribute to an extended growing season which ensures complexity and intensity of the fruit.

<b>WINEMAKING</b><br>
Picked in early morning, the Pinot Noir grapes were destemmed into stainless steel tanks and fermented for about two weeks. During that time, the wine was pumped over several times daily to maximize color, aromatics and flavor extraction. After the juice was pressed on the skins, it was settled and racked into French oak barrels to age for 11 months.
