The Paraiso vineyard is home to one of the few small blocks of Riesling planted in the Santa Lucia Highlands. Riesling excels in cool climates, and like Pinot Noir, is highly influenced by the terroir of its planting site. After harvest, the grapes for this wine were gently pressed and the juice was racked into a stainless steel tank for fermentation. Our winemakers chose to maintain a small amount of residual sugar in the finished wine, which enhances the texture and balances a note of tartness on the finish.
Vibrant acidity welcomes the palate in this off-dry wine. Featuring tropical notes of grapefruit and passionfruit, transition to subtle hints of lemon blossom and lime zest.
