This deep purple wine opens with aromas of pepper, smoke, and blackberry jam. Smooth and supple with balanced tannins. DOUBLE GOLD MEDAL at the 2009 SF CHRONICLE WINE COMPETITION.
Deep purple in color, the Hahn Estates 2007 Central Coast Syrah opens with aromas of pepper, smoke, and blackberry jam. Aged in 60% new French oak and 40% neutral French oak for 10 months, this wine is smooth and supple all over the mouth, yet has a well-framed and balanced tannic structure.
An intense Syrah, it pairs well with heavily-spiced and exotic cuisines such as Thai, Indian, and South American dishes as well as rich desserts. Try it with Kung Pao Chicken or finish up a meal sipping this wine alongside Black Forest cake.
Awarded a Double Gold medal at the 2009 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition.
